What to Expect
Mahj 102: Building Confidence is designed for players who have had some instruction and understand the basics of American Mahjong, but want more practice and guidance before feeling comfortable playing independently.
Participants will work in pairs, with two players sharing a rack, just as in Mahj 101. This collaborative format gives you the opportunity to talk through decisions, ask questions, and learn from one another while building on the foundations you already know.
We’ll focus on game flow, hand selection, Charleston decisions, strategy, and the decisions that come up during play, with guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a stronger understanding of how to put the pieces together during an actual game and be better prepared to continue practicing and building confidence.
