Monday Mahj at Mosaic: Anniversary Party is a special celebration marking one year of Mahj Over Matter®! Join us for an evening of American Mahjong, delicious bites, a raffle, and anniversary fun.
A Taste of Mahjong
Brand new to American Mahjong? Join Jennifer for a one-hour introduction to the game designed to give you a taste of Mahjong in a fun, relaxed setting. No prior experience is needed, and all Mahjong equipment and materials will be provided.
A Taste of Mahjong seating is intentionally limited to ensure a supportive introduction to the game.
Open Play
Players who can play independently can enjoy two hours of social Open Play on designer Mahjong sets. Beginner-friendly Open Play tables will be available for players who know the basics but are still building confidence.
Food/Drinks
Your registration includes a selection of small bites provided by Mosaic Cuisine. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at Happy Hour prices, and additional food and beverages may be purchased directly from Mosaic Cuisine.
Anniversary Raffle
Every guest will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win a designer Mahjong tile set—our anniversary gift to one lucky player!
Seating
Attending with friends? You’ll have the opportunity to note seating requests at checkout, and I’ll do my best to accommodate them.
Coming on your own? You’ll be seated with other players and warmly welcomed at the table.
Tables will be thoughtfully arranged based on registrations, experience levels, and seating requests.

Brand new to American Mahjong? No prior experience is needed.
Join Jennifer of Mahj Over Matter® for a dedicated 2½-hour Mahj 101 lesson covering the fundamentals of American Mahjong, with guided instruction and hands-on practice.
New Player seats are intentionally limited to ensure a supportive learning experience.

💜 Player Levels Explained
New Player (“A Taste of Mahjong”)
For those brand new to American Mahjong. You’ll get a one-hour introduction to the game, including an overview of the tiles, the NMJL card, and the basics of play. No prior experience is needed.
Independent Player
For players who can set up and play independently using the NMJL card. Register for Open Play.
Still Learning / Building Confidence
If you know the basics and can play but still appreciate occasional reminders or a little extra time, Open Play is for you, too. Beginner-friendly tables will be available based on registrations. Please indicate your experience level at checkout so I can seat you appropriately.

Your ticket includes a selection of small bites, bottomless nonalcoholic beverages, one anniversary raffle ticket, and your choice of two hours of Open Play or A Taste of Mahjong—a one-hour introduction to American Mahjong for brand-new players.
Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at Happy Hour prices. Additional food may also be purchased directly from Mosaic Cuisine.
Seating
Seating is organized in advance to create comfortable, enjoyable tables.
If you’re attending with friends, you’ll have the opportunity to note seating preferences at checkout. Coming on your own? You’ll be thoughtfully placed with other players based on experience level.
Policies
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend — just email Jennifer@MahjOverMatter.com so we can update our list.
If the event is canceled for any reason, all tickets will be fully refunded.
